Why study The Bible

Nourishing Food- It is referred to as nourishing food because of the strength it imparts.
It is Milk (1 Peter 2:2)
It is Meat (Heb. 5:12-14) It is Bread (John 6:51)

The Word is a mirror and also a sword.

2. We Should Study The Bible Because of What the Bible Does.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
For doctrine–that’s what is right;
For reproof–that’s what is not right;
For correction–that’s how to get right;
For instruction in righteousness-that’s how to stay right;
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
